a new kind of creative community


The Studios of Key West was formally established as a tax-exempt charitable organization in June 2006, and has been gaining ground ever since. We're home to a dozen artists’ studios, a well-visited sculpture garden and rotating exhibition space, new project initiatives and partnerships, a small and dedicated staff, and diverse workshop offerings. One of our primary goals is to support and advance local artists, and find new and interesting ways for people to develop their creative powers.


Over the coming years we hope to expand the mandate of the artist colony and engage and enhance the remarkable culture of Key West. And we will, but not without the creative energy and participation of hundred and thousands of friends, neighbors, and artistic minds. So please share your thoughts, explore our workshops and lectures, and keep creating the culture of our island paradise.
