This is a class to gain confidence in capturing the line and form of the human figure. Supplies provided with fee. Annamarie Giordano, facilitator and instructor, first studied Life Drawing as a 14 year old aspiring artist at the distinguished Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia. From there she received local acclaim and an art scholarship from the Philadelphia Board of Education. She attended the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art for Formal Studies.

Perhaps even more vital in today’s cultural climate than when it was first published a decade ago, it is a powerfully provocative and inspiring work.

The book has started a movement and has helped nearly two million people cultivate their creative selves.

Rosalind Brackenbury has facilitated this course with many groups over the years. She is the author of twelve novels, a collection of short stories, and five books of poetry. Her new novel, Becoming George Sand, is out with Doubleday Canada, and will be published in the United States in 2010 by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, New York.

Painting Boot Camp – Women Only Session

Rick’s popular TSKW classes sell out weeks in advance during season, but this special women-only session is being offered in partnership with Womenfest. All women are invited…so enroll today! Follow the drill, and march out with your own Key West rooster painting – a finished painting makes a wonderful souvenir or gift! All materials are included, no experience necessary. $20 (Limited to 30)

The TSKW 2010-11 Season

In just a few short weeks, The Studios of Key West will announce the full 2010/11 catalog and schedule. As we confirm next season’s workshops, classes, exhibitions, and concerts, we’ll be posting details to the website. And on October 21, our season catalog will hit the streets!

Our friends, neighbors, and supporters are all invited to help celebrate what is sure to be our best season yet. Check back soon for details about the celebration and catalog launch.

TSKW Refund and Cancellation Policy

To inquire about and enroll in a workshop stop by our office in the Armory, or call us at 305-296-0458. Spaces are limited, and workshops are are filled on a first come, first served basis. In the rare event that a program is cancelled by TSKW, we will issue a full refund along with a 10% gift certificate off the student’s next enrollment. Enrollments are transferable to other individuals.

Participants will be contacted a few weeks ahead of the start date. Doors open 30 minutes before the workshop begins, and coffee and refreshments are provided for a nominal donation (proceeds help support the TSKW Scholarship Program). When indicated in the listing, a catered lunch is included. When supply fee is required, all quality materials are provided to participants. Our registration and refund policy is below…

WEEKLY CLASSES Payment must be made at time of registration in order to guarantee a space. If you register and cannot attend please contact us 24 hours ahead for a full refund. Class credit will be issued for cancellations on day of class. TSKW can not issue a refund or credit for no-shows.

EXTENDED COURSES Extended Courses offer sessions over a number of weeks. If you have registered and will not be able to take the course, a written notice must be received 5 days before the scheduled program to receive credit or refund (less a $50 deposit) TSKW does not refund or credit any missed course sessions.

WORKSHOPS Workshop refunds will be granted if cancellation is requested in writing at least 5 days in advance of the start date (less $50 deposit). After that time, credit only is issued (less $50 deposit) which can be applied to future programs.

GIFT CERTIFICATES Gift certificates and vouchers are available in any amount towards membership or workshops. They can be created for specific programs.

STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS As a way to support the community and its artistic growth, TSKW reserves space in our programs for Monroe County teachers and high school students. Those interested in applying for a scholarship to attend a workshop at no cost should contact TSKW. Painting Bootcamp with Rick Worth – Month of October

Follow the drill and Rick’s perfected step-by-step demonstrations and march out each week with your very own painting of a Key West scene. Learn the basics of color mixing by using a limited palette of latex enamel applied onto 9 x 12 inch primed canvas. All supplies are included. Perfect for students of all ages and experience. First-timers too!

4 Session Class, Monthly. Tuesdays, 6-8:30 pm

TSKW Member: $100, Non-member: $120

Priority is offered to those students who register for a month of sessions. Weekly Registration (if space permits): $30/$35.

Three spaces are reserved for out of town visitors each week.
