TSKW Celebrates Its Volunteer Guardians with a Recognition Social
Saying Thanks to the People Who Make Our Organization Tick
Nearly forty volunteers and guests came together at the Armory on January 21 for a special reception held in their honor. The evening was filled with music, food, fun, and more than a few laughs.
“An amazing thing has happened at the Historic Armory: dozens of wonderful people have come together, given freely of their time, and helped The Studios of Key West advance this amazing creative season,” says Executive Director, Eric Holowacz. “As we were getting ready to launch the 2009/2010 program, we began calling on friends and neighbors who might want to help us in any and every way. And they responded!”
TSKW Volunteer Guardians, as the group is now called, assist with everything from phones and maintenance to ticket sales, catalog distribution, project support, and event staffing.
“Our volunteers are the best, and their presence has made this extremely diverse and challenging season much easier to produce,” said Holowacz. “All of my staff, our board, and everyone associated with TSKW is eternally grateful for our hard-working volunteer corps.”
