Megan Hildebrandt: Rich and Fractured—An Exhibit Exploring Motherhood

About the Exhibition
By turns emotionally raw and comically absurd, Hildebrandt blurs boundaries between mother, artist and self through drawings and animation. Hildebrandt acknowledges and explores how her experience of motherhood both shifted and enriched her art practice and redefined her relationship with time on both a psychic and a physical level.

About the Artist
Megan Hildebrandt is an artist and educator whose work spans drawing, painting, animation, and socially engaged practice. Her work has been exhibited nationally, including at the Baltimore Museum of Art, Women & Their Work, and galleries and institutions across the country. She holds an MFA from the University of South Florida and is Professor of Practice and Director of the First Year CORE Program in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Texas at Austin.
