Accessibility Statement

Creativity Should Be Accessible to Everyone
At The Studios of Key West, we believe the arts thrive when everyone has the opportunity to participate. We’re committed to making our website—and, whenever possible, our campus and programs—welcoming, inclusive, and accessible for all visitors.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As technology evolves and our programs grow, we’ll continue working to improve the experience for everyone who engages with The Studios of Key West, both online and in person.
Our Commitment
We’re committed to designing and maintaining a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology.
Our website has been designed with the goal of conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for accessible web content.
Accessibility is considered throughout the planning, design, development, and maintenance of our website.
Website Accessibility Features
Our website includes accessibility features such as:
- Clear, consistent navigation
- Keyboard-accessible menus and interactive elements
- Meaningful heading structure to support screen readers
- Alternative text for images whenever appropriate
- Sufficient color contrast for readability
- Responsive layouts that adapt across devices and screen sizes
- Descriptive links and buttons
- Forms designed with accessibility in mind
- Compatibility with current versions of major web browsers and assistive technologies
We also work to ensure that new content added to the website follows these accessibility practices whenever possible.
Ongoing Improvements
Accessibility isn’t a one-time project—it’s an ongoing commitment.
As we update our website, add new content, and introduce new features, we regularly review accessibility and make improvements where needed.
While we strive to make every page accessible, some older documents, third-party content, or linked resources may not yet fully meet current accessibility standards. We continue to evaluate these materials and improve accessibility whenever practical.
Accessibility Beyond Our Website
Accessibility is also an important part of the experience we strive to create at The Studios of Key West.
Our historic campus includes accessible public spaces, galleries, classrooms, performance venues, and an elevator serving upper floors. We also offer an ADA-accessible artist residency apartment through our Peyton Evans Artist Residency (PEAR) program.
Because our campus occupies multiple historic buildings, some spaces may have physical limitations that cannot be fully modified without compromising their historic character. When barriers exist, we work with visitors whenever possible to identify accommodations or alternative ways to participate.
If you have questions about accessibility for a specific event, class, exhibition, or program, we encourage you to contact us before your visit. We’re happy to discuss your needs and help make your experience as welcoming and accessible as possible.
Third-Party Content
Our website may include links to third-party websites or services, including ticketing platforms, payment processors, videos, maps, and social media.
While we encourage our partners to provide accessible experiences, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party content that we do not control.
