About the Class

Create images composed entirely of fabric, beads and sequins inspired by the natural world – leaves, vines, flowers, fish, insects, lizards and more. The fabric and materials will be adhered with acrylic medium. No sewing involved.

About the instructor:

Quimetta Perle is an American artist of Spanish and Jewish descent. Born in Washington, DC, she maintains a studio in Delray Beach, FL and Brooklyn, NY. She earned a BFA from Minneapolis College of Art and Design and an MFA in Digital Arts from the School of Visual Arts. She has been a feminist artist and activist since the 1970’s, and was a member of WARM Gallery, a women’s collective in Minneapolis in the 70’s/80’s.
