About the Exhibition

Growing up on an island, Liang learned to see the world through water: reflected, distorted and always shifting. In Underwater, her intimate oil paintings bring that perspective indoors, where figures, animals, mirrors, aquariums and everyday objects take on a dreamlike quality. The exhibition explores how a life lived near water shapes memory, perception and the way we see ourselves.

About the Artist

Lindsay Liang is a multidisciplinary artist based in New York whose practice spans painting, sculpture, installation, and text. Working across figuration, distortion, and staged environments, she builds images that move between memory, theatricality, and bodily presence. Her work has been exhibited at Culture Lab LIC, Rosenberg Gallery, Bobst Gallery, Pen + Brush, and Mr. Kills Gallery. Her writing and visual art have appeared in Maintenant 19, Peatsmoke Journal, Rappahannock Review, Pacific REVIEW, and Riddle Fence.

  • Our exhibition spaces are located at The Studios of Key West at 533 Eaton Street in Old Town Key West. Individual exhibition pages identify the specific gallery where each show is installed.
