With a voice as warm as it is powerful, Lindsay Lou brings a soulful, modern spirit to the traditions of bluegrass, folk, and Americana. Known for her rich vocals, heartfelt songwriting, and magnetic stage presence, Lou has earned a devoted following by making music that feels both deeply personal and wonderfully universal.

Raised in Michigan and now based in Nashville, Lou first made her mark with Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys and the acclaimed folk trio Sweet Water Warblers. Along the way, she’s shared the stage and studio with celebrated musicians including Billy Strings and Jerry Douglas, weaving together bluegrass roots, soulful melodies, and a fearless approach to songwriting. Her album Queen of Time marks a deeply personal chapter, exploring love, loss, resilience, and self-discovery through beautifully crafted songs.

Named one of NPR’s best live performers and a standout at festivals from Telluride Bluegrass to AmericanaFest, Lou has a gift for connecting with audiences through both her music and storytelling. Expect an evening of soaring vocals, captivating songs, and plenty of heart from one of Americana’s most compelling voices.

About Lindsay Lou

Lindsay Lou is commonly dubbed the Queen of any festivals she plays. You’re likely to see her sitting in with other bands and curating All Stars sets in addition to playing her own music. Her roots are in Michigan, where she started making records, including the artist defining Ionia, and touring worldwide with The Flatbellys and The Sweet Water Warblers. Since making Nashville her home, she’s toured with her folk/rock Queen of Time Band and acoustic/harmony driven Honey Moon Trio and has celebrated records like Southland, Queen of Time, and most recently Bluegrass Women, a ten song album of Bluegrass classics that were penned by women over the course of the genre’s history. The Bluegrass Women project honors women in a predominantly male fronted genre while featuring bands made up entirely of some of the best women and pickers in the scene today. She’s a bringer-together-of-people and a purveyor of buttery, sweet, meaningful experience.  In whatever ensemble she chooses to deliver her sound, you hear the common thread of her love for traditional music and authentic new songs inspired by it.
