When Peyton Evans founded The Studios of Key West, she wasn’t trying to build a building—she was building a community.
She imagined a place where artists could find the time and space to create, learn from one another, and become part of something larger than themselves. What began as workshops and shared creative experiences has grown into a vibrant campus with galleries, classrooms, artist studios, a theater, and the Peyton Evans Artist Residency program, welcoming artists from around the world to live and work in Key West.
For Peyton, every new chapter—from finding a permanent home to creating spaces where people gather, perform, and connect—has brought that original vision to life.
Twenty years later, The Studios remains rooted in the same belief that started it all: when artists have the support to create, communities flourish.
