About the Exhibition

Each school year, more than a thousand school kids visit The Studios’ galleries through our flagship education program, talking directly to artists and then making work of their own. This month they get to fill one of the galleries themselves! Schools at The Studios’ fearless leader Bria Ansara selects highlights from the program activities, granting a host of young artists their first-ever exhibition opportunity.

About the Schools @ The Studios

Led by artist educator Bria Ansara, Schools @ The Studios combines exhibition tours with hands-on activities designed specifically for each visiting group. Students don’t just learn about art — they engage directly with the artists, ideas, and creative processes behind the work.

  • First Thursday is The Studios’ monthly exhibition opening and community gathering. Join us on the first Thursday of the month from October through June from 6–8pm to explore new exhibitions, meet artists, enjoy drinks and conversation, and experience The Studios after hours.

  • Our galleries are open Tuesday through Saturday, 10am–4pm, unless otherwise noted. Admission to our exhibitions is always free.

  • Absolutely. Supporting local artists is central to our mission. Key West and Florida Keys artists are represented throughout our exhibition season alongside artists from across the country and around the world.

  • Our exhibition spaces are located at The Studios of Key West at 533 Eaton Street in Old Town Key West. Individual exhibition pages identify the specific gallery where each show is installed.

  • Nothing! Admission to The Studios’ galleries and exhibitions is free during regular gallery hours and First Thursday opening receptions.

  • Yes. Many works presented in our galleries are available for purchase. Availability and pricing are listed with each exhibition or can be provided by The Studios staff.
